About Sandy
For more than two decades, I have worked as a professional photographer creating imagery for healthcare organizations, corporate environments, and commercial applications. Through years of photographing healthcare interiors, exteriors, and the people within them, I became increasingly aware of the profound effect environments have on emotional well-being.
That awareness eventually led me to the principles of biophilic design — the practice of reconnecting people with nature through the built environment — and to a more intentional approach to photography rooted in restoration, peace, and sensory connection.
Much of my inspiration comes from time spent alone in the remote landscape of the American Southwest. Through solo camping, hiking, and extended time outdoors, I discovered firsthand the grounding effect natural environments can have during periods of stress, loss, and personal transition. Those experiences became an important source of healing and reflection, ultimately shaping both my life and my photographic perspective.
Today, my work focuses on creating imagery for healthcare, wellness, therapeutic and hospitality environments where visual atmosphere plays a meaningful role in the human experience. Guided by natural light, texture, space, and quiet observation, my photography is created to foster calm, connection, and a deeper relationship to the natural world.
Photography is my passion and I'm always learning. I do this because I love the craft. I truly enjoy my work which is the motivation behind getting the best images for my people. If I'm not shooting for you, you can definitely find me on that hiking trail or in the desert photographing nature, creating, and taking time to be still.
